Young and Vibrant 2012 Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson may be a league of its own when it comes to its unique fluidic lines and curves; a vehicle that is worthy of being called a head turner.  The Hyundai Tucson is a crossover SUV that exudes a modern and youthful vibe. Although not as big as other vehicles in its category, it makes up for its performance and style. This compact SUV is surprisingly fun to drive. Inside the Hyundai Tucson, you’ll find a bevy of comfort enhancing features. It is a compact crossover so it is expected to be of lesser size than full-on crossovers. Just like a car, it can seat up to 5 people but with more legroom. 17-inch steel wheels come with the entry level model while the more advanced models get 18-inch alloy wheels.

The features are also made more functional like the front wiper de-icer, dual zone automatic climate control and heated seats. The top of the line includes a sunroof, leather seats and sophisticated navigation system.

The entry level Tucson has 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine which has 165 horsepower. It can go up to 20 mpg in city driving while it makes 27 mpg on the highway. It is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. You can opt for automatic transmission if you so desire.

The other engine option is 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that has 176 horsepower. Handling is impeccable owing to the Euro-tuned suspensions. Fuel efficiency is enhanced even more with the Active Eco system Hyundai has put in it. It is capable of altering the engine and transmission response to make fuel most efficient. It is estimated to drive 23 mpg in city driving and 31 mpg on a highway.

Hyundai Tucson ranked highly in crash testing and protection. It is equipped with enough airbags as well as anti-lock disc brakes and stability and traction control.
