2012 Hyundai Tucson – Classy and Youthful Crossover

Available in Los Angeles at Cerritos Hyundai

The Hyundai Tucson may not be as sizeable as other crossover SUVs, but it stands out for its classy and youthful appearance. Its fluidic design is uniquely Hyundai. Its stance is unmistakable even at first glance. But the new Hyundai Tucson is not just a sight for sore eyes. There are three options in the Tucson lineup namely GL Sport Utility, GLS Sport Utility and Limited Sport Utility. All are four-cylinder starting with the GL Sport Utility offering a 2.0 liter engine with 165 horsepower. MPG is 23 city/31 highway. The GLS Sport Utility and Limited Sport Utility are even better with 2.4 L, 176 HP, 21/28 MPG and 168 lb-ft torque. Although the entry-level GL comes in a five-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic, the 2.4 L option only comes with the automatic transmission.

Standard safety features are six airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake assist, stability control and active front head restraints.

The 2012 Hyundai Tucson has European roots when it comes to the exterior trim. The Limited model has a panoramic sunroof that extends from front to the back of the vehicle for that ultimate cruising experience. The entry-level model GL is equipped with 17-inch steel wheels while the GLS has 17-inch alloy and the Limited has 18-inch alloy wheels. Chrome-accented door handles and grille gives a more sleek appearance.

The interior on the other hand is all about comfort and leg room. It has more passengers than other crossover utility and 60-40 split-folding rear seat. There’s a front solar glass that keeps the glare of the sun at bay during the summer. Come winter time, the heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators will be greatly beneficial as well as the heated front seats. There is also auto-dimming rearview mirror, touch screen navigation and rearview camera for the Limited model.
